The heart of Sao Paulo holds the biggest movement for housing in Latin America. Homeless families occupy the Maua, one of many empty buildings downtown. The documentary LEVA follows the lives of some inhabitants and seizes the revitalization of the stranded areas and the construction of a collective as a transformational agent of the individual self. The documentary LEVA follows the lives of habitants of the Maua occupation and reveals the organization of parties united to turn abandoned spaces into homes. The structuring of the building will reflect on the reordering and redescovery of people that become individuals through one collective goal. |
