Frustrated by my job as a young television reporter in NYC, I imagine myself working free of the formula. Out of the studio, out of the box, I become a chronicler of the city’s striving class. That permanent slice of culture made up of a transient cast of would be actors, writers, comedians, singers, dancers and athletes. Each one, talented or not, gets a few moments in front of the camera, a precious deduction from their fifteen minutes balance. They’re fighting the good fight and they’re real as hell. Through the work of documenting their stories, I change. I find the toughness and confidence to explore my ambitions on my own terms. The Broadcast Muse is born…
