As a hardworking Korean immigrant, Minja has always had a troubled relationship with her daughter, Gina. Gina has repeatedly run away from home, but after Gang-Soo, Minja’s brother, discovers Gina working as a prostitute to pay for her drug addiction Minja decides to take drastic measures. Minja forces Gina home and chains her to a bed in the basement. Minja attempts to reconcile with her daughter, but in the end her love for her daughter supersedes her will to keep her as a prisoner. |
