One of my favorites. I end up having to watch this and highlander about every 6 months or so.

i really dont know, how many times i have seen this gem in real cinemas during the 80s/early 90s…
it was a ritual, drinking, having fun and forgetting normal live!
at the end, every line was to be repeated :)

Such a classic movie on SO many levels. Pure comedic Gold! So many memorable lines to quote and the musician cameos and the soundtrack throughout the movie are great! This movie (along with the classic “Young Frankenstein”) ALWAYS makes laugh uproariously every.single.time I watch it.

one of my most favorite parts is the church scene and the gospel music. James Brown kills it!

Agreed! So does Ray Charles (Shake Your Tail Feathers”), Aretha Franklin (“Think”) AND the entire Blues Brothers Band in the movie which was (I believe) the crew from the old SNL show from the 80ies too
