A choreographic meditation, White Room literally empties the frame to aid in the viewer’s concentration of just one thing, the contemplation of the human form. As choreographer and editor, Daniel Gwirtzman composes multiple versions of himself, as the dancer, shifting between solos, duets and trios, exploring the possibilities of self-partnering, suggesting the overlapping of multiple personalities, and exposing the power of negative space. |
