Love this old classic, I am very surprised they have not made a remake yet, Like Soylent Green another great classic https://www.primewire.li/movie/155455-watch-soylent-green :)

biker_71 6 points 3 years ago.

shhhhhh, don’t give them ideas, they will only ruin it.

Alien 7 points 3 years ago*.

I love this movie. I hope they never go near it.
I saw it at the theater when it first came out for $1.
The same with Soylent Green and The Omega Man.

Man, the 70’s were groovy!

Xsile 4 points 3 years ago. 5/5 stars.

Could not agree more! I had such a fanboy crush on Jenny Agutter back then.

Alien 5 points 3 years ago*.

She has aged but still lovely. You can see her here now.

Of course, not everyone’s cup of tea.

EDIT: I was referring to the series, not Jenny Agutter.

Arcangel2020 3 points 3 years ago.

She was also in “Captain America: The Winter Solider” too as a member of the SHIELD” council (along with Robert Redford) and she still looks good for age too…imho

Wasn’t she in American Werewolf in London? Or was that someone else I’m thinking of?

Drizzt 3 points 3 years ago.

Cool, I didn’t know that

snazzydetritus 4 points 3 years ago.

Have you seen her in Walkabout ( https://www.primewire.ag/movie/148894-watch-walkabout )? She was 18 or 19. Fantastic film, and she is just radiant.

Alien 2 points 3 years ago.

I have, snazzy, and it was a fantastic film.

Drizzt 4 points 3 years ago.

Omega Man !!! that was a great classic as well. I think I’ll watch it today, thanks Alien :)

Alien 3 points 3 years ago.

👍

Arcangel2020 3 points 3 years ago.

Absolutely! I saw it in the theater when I was all of 5 years old. My aunt took me to go see it at a small theater in Guernville, CA. It scared the crap out of me as a little kid. I love re-watching it from time to time. It’s cheesy Bad/Good, but I love it…hell, I think it’s way better STILL than the wretched re-make of a re-make of a re-make that was “I am Legend” with Will Smith in it. That was utter garbage. LOL

The knowledge we pass on is priceless!

grasshopper rex 3 points 3 years ago.

I remember making my mom take me to the Ft. Worth water gardens after I found out that part of it was filmed there. She was surprised and pleased until I explained what prompted my interest.

Alien 4 points 3 years ago.

I just looked up some images of that and my brain instantly flashed to the scenes in Logan’s Run. That’s so cool, grasshopper. That you pulled one over on your Mom, too.

Arcangel2020 4 points 3 years ago.

Absolutely! Loved watching movies like “Logan’s Run” “Soylent Green” “Silent Running”, “Omega Man” and Damnation Alley” too. Classic 70ies era Dystopian movies I grew up watching as a little kid in the 70ies. There was talk of a re-make of “Logan’s Run” being made…but thankfully, just like the talk about re-making “Escape From New York”? It was just rumors and talk and thankfully nothing has come to fruition on any of that!

Drizzt 5 points 3 years ago*.

Holy smokes !!! Damnation Alley !! I used to watch that in Montreal in theatres everyday when it came out while visiting my aunt and uncle. I loved that movie,, I think it was one of the first to get me into science fiction, But the very first was outer limits https://www.primewire.li/tv/33812-watch-the-outer-limits Think I was 7-8 very first time seeing it :) thanks arc https://www.primewire.li/movie/167628-watch-damnation-alley

Arcangel2020 4 points 3 years ago.

Yes, the original “Outer Limits” is/was awesome to watch and it made an impression me, watching the old re-runs late at night. I always liked Outer Limits more than the original Twilight Zone because it was Sci-Fi themed.

Drizzt 4 points 3 years ago.

My Fav rerun was the ants !!

Arcangel2020 2 points 3 years ago.

It’s another classic cheesy/bad, it’s GOOD post-apocalyptic 70ies era movie. I saw it in the theater back when I was a kid (It was a double feature with the Charles Broson western “White Buffalo). Back then, the SFX were pretty cool and trippy and I LOVED the Las Vegas NV part of the movie where the city is over run with flesh eating Cockroaches. It’s another fun movie to watch. Man, I really wanted to own that bad-ass armored All Terrain truck they made for the movie too as a kid :)

Drizzt 3 points 3 years ago.

OH ya ! I don’t think I ever watched the series at all. I’ll check it out tomorrow! Thanks

Arcangel2020 2 points 3 years ago.

I remember the tv series! :)

Geogenesis 1 points 3 years ago.

As a Vegan I dread the day they remake that one.

You know all the tin-foil hats will be claiming soy is actually “soylent green”!!!! They already claim vegan food changes your DNA. Really, eating an orange will cause me to regress genetically?

JohnT 3 points 3 years ago*.

Good movie, I had a childhood crush on Farrah Fawcett I watched this just for her small part in it. Also like Saturn 3 with her and Kirk Douglas: https://www.primewire.ag/movie/175077-watch-saturn-3

Smeagol 2 points 3 years ago.

Can’t forget Vincent price in Last Man on Earth. Always enjoyed that one

Farmboy41 2 points 3 years ago.

There is a trailer for a show or movie that has just been that is using the pulse sound from the Logans Run soundtrack. I was like someone is using that?

cdw129 2 points 3 years ago.
