True Love is a quirky, dark, offbeat comedy about two brothers: the nervous virgin Chris and his controlling older know-it-all brother Hoffman, who set out together in New York City to get some action. They meet Claudia, a hooker with a heart of gold and a deep, dark past and talk her into a menage a trois, since Chris can’t seal the deal on his own. The brothers find themselves competing for her affection while she tries to keep her emotions from getting the best of her. Hoffman remains the manipulative (and jealous) voice of reason, as Chris’s self-confidence grows with Claudia’s encouragement. Hoffman finally goes too far and Chris sets out to prove he doesn’t need Hoffman anymore. And that he’s fallen in love. |
