I tried to get into this story, because of the comment here. Not having the Polish translation spoken by the father did not help. I almost quit when the bedbug scene happened. I got a bit further, but not much. I thought the daughter incredibly insensitive to both her father and the people who’s home she barged into. Just because she wanted to understand where her roots were did not excuse the arrogant demanding way she put her father through reliving a painful past.

What an extraordinary movie - touched on so many important points. Wonderful job by Stephen Fry and Lena Dunham… Beautiful, touching, oddly real… points about post WWII that are never discussed. Loved it. Agree 5/5
