Thankfully this is a work of fiction and not a documentary of how mankind became extinct. This will invariably be the future of us if we continue messing around with AI. Initially we will use it for labor purposes but we know what other uses AI machines will be used for. They will gain sentience, somehow or some way and when they do let’s hope they are not malevolent.

Companion did it better. This was pretty good, but I was bored by the end because the choices made weren’t very bold. They could have made that way more crazy.

I didn’t expect much from this film, and frankly it’s OK but not good. Fox surprised me with a few glimmers of acting prowess.

The film’s name is misleading. Subservience played no role in the plot, outside the basic robot-serves element. It was more a matter of ‘what makes a human’ with the bot’s evolution missing key components to humanity - empathy, selflessness, consideration.

Characters were flimsy and 2D. Reasoning was odd.

The horror/action bits were pretty good, though. Some good tension was built up around the kids, too.

I’d call this a good time-killing popcorn muncher for the most part.

oh wow that was exhausting. and grace Sheffield from the nanny.. best i can assume is that its reproducing consciously the male gaze inherent in robotics corporations and medicine. like the actors are being paid right…. 2024 peoples… ibsens ‘doll house’ was 19thC…

Another futuristic robot movie. I like sci-fi movies and I thought it was pretty good. I’ve seen some similar stories but they all have something a bit different about them. Not a bad watch.
