A faithful adaptation of Mary Shelley’s original novel, Frankenstein, The Musical is a thrilling, new interpretation of the classic tale of horror and romance. The story follows Victor Frankenstein, the scion of a wealthy Swiss family, whose scientific genius leads him to a great, audacious experiment: to create a human life. At first, “The Creature” is a ghoulish, inarticulate beast and Victor attempts to destroy him by burning his laboratory and retreat to his family home. But the Creature survives and, left to fend for himself in the wild, he struggles to regain his human faculties while battling the hatred and fear of humankind. Eventually, he learns to speak and read and when he discovers Victor’s forgotten journal, he learns the truth of his origin and vows revenge on his creator and all that he loves. Their battle of wills will eventually lead on an epic chase to the ends of the earth. This special, full-length video production of the stage play is a unique showcase for a new musical. Fully produced, it is a hybrid of a film and a stage show, shot and edited cinematically, while contained on a single stage with theatrical lighting. |

deimos737 : Yes... well, some of it. I read the first 3 or 4 books, but it's been years since then.
