This is one of those flicks where someone has to save the day in some sort of way. Toni Collette & Ana Farris are very unlikely sisters who have to grab at straws & scrap together some sort of plan to save the family business from foreclosure. That’s the premise, but there’s some misfires with casting & unnecessary characters who do nothing to forward the story. Duchovny is good at being a creepy brother. Kathleen Turner from Serial Mom is super salty- light years from Romancing The Stone. This isn’t a shining gem at all, but there are far worse.
