Based on a true story, the film tells the story of a political figure, Taufiq Kiemas, who later known as Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR RI) 2009-2014, and the husband of former Indonesian president Megawati Soekarnoputri. Taufiq is in Palembang and a member of a youth gang called Don Quixote. He is inspired by Soekarno’s ideology. He decides to become a nationalist, goes to Jakarta and meets with Sukarno, makes friend with Guntur Soekarnoputra and meets Megawati Soekarnoputri for the first time. Taufiq then understanda the meaning of friendship, family, love and the state when he takes the way of life as a nationalist. |
