Gede Vizyon takes the viewer on an unusual tour of the Grand Cemetery of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Something runs loose through the labyrinthine structure of the cemetery, capturing images and sounds on its way, and creating a disorienting experience. In response to this documentation, a Hougan creates poetry that becomes narration, as a Mambo sings Vodou hymns that become soundtrack. Produced as part of the 5th Ghetto Biennale of Haiti. |
