The film takes place in the aftermath of the coup - September 12th, 1980. It tells the story of a family that migrates from a small eastern village to Istanbul. Saycan, who works in a small restaurant in Istanbul, brings his family-his old father, his wife, and his son- to Istanbul, too. Saycan wants his son, Seyid Ali, to study and to have a proper job and living in the future. His father always yearns for his horse and his village and never finds peace. Because of one of his colleagues, Saycan is taken into custody and his family cannot have any news about him.
