The peace of a regular middle-class family is shattered by the suicide of the elder daughter, Suhana, just a month after she is admitted to the college of her dreams. All that is known about the suicide is that five minutes before it, a mysterious video of Suhana is shared on the college WhatsApp group. Coral, her younger sister, replaces her in the college. She is here to find out the circumstances in which the video was made and its author. In the beginning, everyone is enemy and everyone is a suspect in her eyes. Gradually friends come along, and enemies acquire clearer shapes. However, as mysterious details about the circumstances of her sister’s death start surfing up, the line between the enemies and friends becomes obscure as never before - A venture in the name of truth makes the truth disappear the closer she gets to it. More than anything, Coral gets to know herself and the world around her, how the enemy and the friend can have the same face and how to deal with it, when that face is that of your own. The film touches upon issues of our modern society, such as the fragility of one’s anonymity in this digital era, and how what can appear as a mischievous game, can quickly and easily turn lives upside down and how it can affect both victims and culprits. |
