In remote Western Australia, two estranged brothers, Colin (Sam Neill) and Les (Michael Caton), are at war. Raising separate flocks of sheep descended from their family’s prized bloodline, the two men work side by side yet are worlds apart. When Les’s prize ram is diagnosed with a rare and lethal illness, authorities order a purge of every sheep in the valley. While Colin attempts to stealthily outwit the powers that be, Les opts for angry defiance. But can the warring brothers set aside their differences and have a chance to reunite their family, save their herd, and bring their community back together?

I came across another movie Rams released in 2015 but set in Iceland exactly the same movie except no fire in Iceland where the opposite was used a snow storm. I couldn’t exactly tell but the dog looked like the same one in both movies. Those sheep herding dogs do look similar any way. Something this movie needed in places the other had to have was subtitles. Their Aussie dialect was difficult to understand several times during the movie. I enjoyed both movies but it was actor Sam Neill and Michael Canton that drew me to watch this one first.
2 of the most destructive things to that can happen to a farmer are disease and fire -THIS imo IS NOT A COMEDY (gawd no why its billed as one ) -its a realistic/drama that takes a look at the devastation caused by an outbreak- brilliantly acted - filmed -written all top notch-dog is cool too -liked the soundtrack too well worth a watch
What a movie! Whole family can watch it. It’s a feel good movie - at least it made me feel good. I like a good comedy. The actors were good at their parts, portraying a couple of brothers at odds with each other. I loved the ending. Definitely recommend this one for a watch. Enjoy!
