‘Moonface, a woman in the war’ is not just a tour of the professional life of the war correspondent, artist and writer Christine Spengler; It is also a journey through time due to the greatest warlike conflicts since the second half of the 20th century up to our times. Christine’s voice-over is the guiding thread of an intimate documentary in which we discover the photographer in her essence. An interview that reveals to the spectator her complex personality, which takes her from black and white war photography to her current surrealist work. Christine Spengler is undoubtedly a key figure in the history of world photography. Chosen Woman of the Year 2000 (Palace of Brussels, Belgium) and decorated with the Legion of Honor in France in 2009 (delivered for the first time to a woman). Her images have been around the world. Nacional Geografic also chooses her ‘Londonderry’ photograph (1972) to be part of the 100 photos of the 20th Century. Throughout her career as a war correspondent, Christine has traveled, with her inseparable Nikon, the most important war conflicts of the second half of the 20th century.
