Despite second thoughts about their relationship, a young woman (Jessie Buckley) takes a road trip with her new boyfriend (Jesse Plemons) to his family farm. Trapped at the farm during a snowstorm with Jake’s mother (Toni Collette) and father (David Thewlis), the young woman begins to question the nature of everything she knew or understood about her boyfriend, herself, and the world. An exploration of regret, longing and the fragility of the human spirit, I’M THINKING OF ENDING THINGS is directed and written by Academy Award® winner Charlie Kaufman (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind). Inspired by Iain Reid’s bestselling namesake novel.

This film is akin to ‘science of sleep’ or ‘eternal sunshine of a spotless mind’ in that it mixes moments of mundane, awkward reality with the surreal. The plot itself may not seem as linear as other films but this does not lessen the value or quality of the film
It is written by Charlie Kaufman, who I think also wrote those two films.
surreal, awkward, not bad..
After watching 3/4 of this all i can say is…….. WHAT?!?!?!?! what the hell did i just watch. Im looking for a plot, a theme, a story line, something. wtf is this? can somebody explain? Maybe I not enlightened enough.
U r enlightened…. U were able to not confused an artistic movie with meaning vs a movie void of any substance.
For me I want my hrs back …. dang it.
