Details:

Isaac Cypress works for NASA’s JPL lab as a mathematician/scientist. He is working on a video self-journaling project, encouraged by his counselor, when a UFO makes a precipitous landing nearby. He is startled a short time later to see an alien behind him. The last thing he recalls is being pulled into the sky. Upon returning home, he learns that he has been missing for three days. The video footage suggests he has been abducted by extraterrestrials. He posts it on the Internet, but hardly anyone believes his story. He becomes obsessed with finding proof, which leads him on a journey of discovery. Via the internet he seeks others who might have had similar experiences and meets Sara. She, too, was abducted and lost three days of memories. Both have a soreness in their right arms. Isaac is approached by a man who claims to write a blog and wants to help him get more credence for his story. But he’s really an agent of a black ops agency who wants to learn more about the aliens and the whereabouts of an Alaskan man who claims he was also abducted. Isaac manages to break free from their holding facility in Costa Rico and flee with Sara to British Columbia.

Geeks, Canada (eh), UFOs. What’s not to love. Too many of you critics on this site, using big words strung together in a sentence(that I have to google to understand what the hell you typed)with no appreciation for the actual free movies and TV shows we have here. Let the down voting begin..(eh) :€~

Thx glitter lady..:)

Not too awful for an abduction sci-fi, professionally done for the most part. Could have used better SFX, had kind of a disappointing ending after all the buildup. OK for a one time watch. IMDB’s rating of 5.7 is about right.

This was a quality B movie with solid performances and an engaging story. Other movies in the same vein are UFO (https://www.primewire.li/movie/622629-watch-ufo) and The Signal (https://www.primewire.li/movie/1188522-watch-the-signal). If you liked this movie, then you’ll like these other two.

Good b movie

That was alright for a cheap science fictioner, maybe a bit formulaic except for that one time when… No I ain’t gonna say - but I didn’t like that plot item very much, and I didn’t expect it either. I hope I have intrigued you enough to watch it - don’t blame me when you are saying “Awww FFS”.

Movie was alright. The plot was all over the place and the events didn’t flow smoothly. It felt a bit detached. I mean, it started out really well at first with the suspense and then there was a huge shift when the movie turned into an action one with a lot of chasing around. 4/10

And yet again of course the brilliant scientist/doctor is male…

i agree. check out this list: [[had to delete link due to policy - but search the net for “indiewire best tv shows by women”]]
i’m currently watching marvel’s jessica jones, it’s a relief from all the omnipresent male tv perspective. also, thank you for your services as a doctor during this challenging time.

and your point is..?

blueskies223 1 points 4 years ago.

That as a female doctor who is mistaken for a nurse at least five times a day every day and whose medical and scientific opinions are regularly discredited owing to me being female I’m really tired of how people assume that brilliant doctors and scientists are male and not female, and shows like this only help perpetuate that mindset?

Canuckian 3 points 4 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

well, tbh i haven’t seen this show, i only saw your comment and assumed you were a Feminist pissed off that someone dared to make a male something better than a worm in the ground (which is the opinion most feminists have of the male species)…i can only speak for myself but i have never assumed any such thing, nor does anyone i know think that way (as far as i know) and if they did, i would have the same discussion with them. In 2020, opportunities are there for the taking. If you want it, and you have the grit, determination and intelligence to go for it, than you can have it..such as being a brilliant Doctor whether your male OR female. I don’t understand how someone can mistake a doctor for a nurse seeing that they wear very different clothes/uniforms so that right there shows that whoever mistakes such a thing is obviously not very smart/observant so i would take no offense as the words of an “ignoramus” and i would take GREAT pleasure in correcting them. Anyways, all im saying is people are gonna think what they wanna think and no TV show is going to change that. My response to your earlier comment was based on me thinking you were one of those All-Male hating Feminazis pissed off whenever a man is shown capable of being more than just whatever their opinions are of them if you know what i mean. If you are a Doctor like you claim to be, then you have earned the title of MD and rightfully so and the opinions of smaller minded people should mean little to you. Dr. Jane C. Wright, pioneer in Chemotherapy and a black woman..brilliant. Dr. Gertrude B. Elion, basically a Rockstar in MEdical Science as she bascially saved millions of children from a death sentence from Leukemia, she also created drugs which mitigated the effects of malaria, kidney stones, arthritis and gout among others…definitely brilliant…i have many lists in front of me as this thread got me curious so i did some looking and female doctors/scientists are just as responsible as an male doctor for many of the drugs/cures we have today. Anyone who assumes that only men make good doctors/scientists are not worth listening too thus anything they say can be taken with a grain of salt. I am no Doctor yet even i know that. Small minded people have narrow opinions to fit into their narrow world, therefor anything they say wouldn’t bother me. What DOES bother me though is when someone chops down the entire apple tree because of one bad apple and they just assume that they ALL must be bad or the same. That is what led me to reply to your comment, i just wanted to know what your reasoning was behind your comment. Cheers Doc.

You just blew my mind!

Jhigh03 1 points 4 years ago.

This comment says everything that needs to be known about you and nothing about the movie. Since as soon as I read this I had no problem rattling off at least % recent movies or Tv shows that featured women in the role of head science offiucer or Commander. Most featuring them directly in charge of men. You know it’s actually impossible for every demographic to be under represented in movies and media. Still it seems like every Majority and minority feels like they are, and while some groups do have reason to feel this way some times personal issues detract from the larger picture.
