The violence was certainly on point.
If your looking for ‘plot’ you could very easily compare it to the 1990s MK movie; as the plotline was VERY similar, it just took a few different twists & turns. (No that is NOT a spoiler)

A retelling of the first tournament with a bit more focus on Scorpion’s vendetta. Plays a bit loose with the tournament format, and throws in an army of mercenary redshirts for no other purpose than to die gruesome deaths, but some of the action scenes are excellent, especially the Lin Kuei attack.
This was so awesome! Gobble viewed down to the drop. I miss this franchise. Looks like they are revamping and making it popular once again. Must watch if you are a fan.
