In 1969, in a local UK Football Association Challenge Cup soccer match, something very peculiar took place: before the day was done, one man ended up in hospital, one man was sent off the pitch and all 22 players had been booked - the equivalent of today’s being shown a yellow card - including a man who wasn’t even at the match. And a linesman/manager got booked too. This was the first and only time anything like this had ever happened in British Football. This film, ‘BOOKED’, is an attempt to investigate this unique, extraordinary event, to uncover the truth, to debunk the myth and finally bring to light a seemingly incredible event which has somehow been all but erased from the record books.
