Details:

LORDVILLE is a portrait of a small New York town in the Upper Delaware River that is filled with ghosts. In 1848 Lordville became a stop on the Eerie Railroad. By the turn of the twentieth century it was a boom town. After several catastrophic floods and the decline of the logging industry, the town fell into disuse and began to decay. Today the land has begun to reclaim those buildings. LORDVILLE is an ethnography of place and a personal meditation on landscape as history. It is an inquiry into ownership and citizenship and how these, in the context of American history, are complicated by notions of nation and race. LORDVILLE explores what happens in a sensory encounter with a place that embodies history.
