After learning a great deal about the band - this evening I learned a great deal more. Before dreams of recording their own records they were playing covers of American pop artists and performing in Liverpool Pubs and eventually Hamburg. This is a film about the days before the cavern, and most importantly, about the unbeknownst role (at least to me) of Brian Epstein in changing all this. Very revealing. |
