Grimsey is a bell hop in a small country hotel. An “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” troupe came and Grimsey fell in love with the ingénue, Little Eva, and did everything to make her stay in the hotel. The first night’s performance was unsuccessful and the manager decided to jump the hotel bill. He demanded that Little Eva give him all of her money. Grimsey heard of the scheme and hid in one of the trunks. When the trunk arrived at the station Grimsey jumped out and forced the manager to give Eva her money back, and just before boarding the train Eva kissed Grimsey. |
