do you think someone could post a version with subtitles during the french speaking scenes? please and thank you
Here’s how to get and use subs on PW—
Go to the show you want, then—
Click a ‘version’, then click ‘subtitles’, choose a sub, click ‘retrieve’, then click ‘download’.
Download to your PC.
Now, with a player that has a ‘cc’ button, click the cc button, pick and click ‘upload…’. Pick the sub file you just downloaded (the file name likely ends in .srt).
You’re good to go.
Or—if you don’t mind waiting to hope someone will find a copy with subs for the French parts—
Copy the page’s address (URL) then click “Requests” near the upper right of the page. Ask there, where the linkers will see your request.
looks like there are five versions of the english subtitles. does it matter which one we pick?
Often it won’t matter but if it’s out of sync, pick another sub (or another vid). But I’ll bet you’ve already figured that out.
it said there’s no app set to open this download. do you know if there’s a certain app we’re supposed to use?
You don’t need to open anything if the downloaded file ends in .srt.
It’s ready for you to click the ‘cc’ button on the player if you’re streaming.
If you dl’ed the show just start the movie and drag the .srt file onto the screen. (That’s the simplest way.)

google ‘how to use subtitles’ there’s lots of tutorials on youtube
i mean as soon as i download and click on the dl, it redirects to the screen saying there’s no platform to open it
Again, you don’t have to click on the .srt file.

well, i was hoping to get it on streamplay but it seems to work solely on vevio
streamplay doesn’t have cc buttons, does it?
Vidup and upstream, etc have them.

fantastic movie. that Chalomet is quite the talent. highly recommended
This is really excellent .. its clearly based on shakespeare’s version, but is “de-shakespearised”, (if thats a word), put in more familiar modern language, and with a wider eye to the scope of the times this story is intended to cover
I dont know if Im scandalised or impressed
Then again .. we didnt really need yet another slavish redoing of his version, theres plenty of good ones of those ..

That was fantastic. Excellent on every level. It is true. A king has no friends. Henry may have been a great king but he carried the weight of the world on his shoulders.

This movie sounds interesting and wonder if Johnny Depp’s daughter Lily-Rose has his acting chops!
Lily-Rose has a underlying strength to her performance.
Good movie. Better then I thought it was gonna be. Grabbed a copy for my library……
