The NYC College of Technology is one of the most diverse colleges in the USA. For an usual assignment, students must create a video about poems written by English faculty. ‘Lunch Lady’ is set at a high school cafeteria, and expressed a notion of income inequality and upward mobility. The poem is recited by the poet along with one of the students who has had the first hand experience of the content. ‘all there is…’ focused on love. The students discuss and explore what makes video/film poetic. ‘A Poetic Video Project’ is a documentary, at times humorous and poignant, about visual storytelling, life and understanding. |
