In his last years at high school Gena is the front man of the rock band NON STOP. In the early 70s of the last century this is a legendary band in the Burgas region.   Gena goes on to become a sailor and spends nearly ten years on ships in the world oceans. Then for 20 years he is the Port Master at Tsarevo Harbour .   He is in the focus of attention and the moving spirit of any crowd. An endless feast. Merriment, song and dance non-stop.  This is the reason for the extended title “The First Documentary Musical”.   Towards the end of the film Gena meets an old flame of his. They have not seen each other for more than 40 years. Joy . Hope . Balance of emotions. The viewer is likely to expect a syrupy Hollywood happy end.   Now we are at the cancer ward of a hospital in Plovdiv . Two years before Gena has been diagnosed with a serious form of cancer. Undergoes an operation - without much hope. Then another. Dr. Georgiev told us: “This is a very serious illness. And if a patient succumbs to it, we have nothing to help them with. And if now we can consider Gena healthy, it is only thanks to his fighting spirit and his lust for life.”   Well, the film does have a happy ending. And why not?   Most importantly many people will find the film seriously beneficial, because, I hope, they will understand that in order to be healthy they should enjoy life instead of worrying all the time.
