“Tom Bombadil and the fabulous Kingfisher” accompanies the fearless Hobbit Tom Bombadil on his journey through the Shire to visit his friend. Black barrow-wights, which have risen from their grave caves to steal the mysterious object that Tom carries with him, follow him on his way. Nevertheless, he sets out to visit his friend Farmer Maggot. He has orc medicine, the only medicine that can help his beloved Goldberry to recover from an attack of barrow-wights. On his journey, Tom meets all kinds of creatures that turn out to be friends or enemies, until he realizes his true power in a moment of abject misery. |
