Nada’s Gift is the story of a young middle eastern woman who gave birth to a mentally handicapped son, in a country where handicapped children are not accepted in society. They are typically locked up and hidden from view. The film is about this Nobel Peace Prize nominee’s journey from own ignorance about mental disabilities, to being a trail blazer for handicapped children and their families throughout Egypt and the Middle East. |
