Upon his latest release from the mental institution, schmo Adam has to finally find a wife. If he fails again, his terminally ill mother’s fortune and the family mansion will go to her cat and the good people from the cat’s hotel. Not giving in to general confusion and the threat of complete destitution, Adam for once takes fate into his own hands and conceives of a scheme to lure the eligible bachelorette Jeanie into his proximity - as a housekeeper to take care of his mother.
