The story begins when ace detective Harry Goodman goes mysteriously missing, prompting his 21-year-old son Tim to find out what happened. I was not a fan of the twist at the end. That’s just weird. That made everything that happened previous weird. Personally that ending is such a bummer, ruined an otherwise enjoyable movie..
Without Ryan Reynolds this movie would’ve flopped so hard. It was his acting/attitude that made this movie which by all means is far from perfect. It was enjoyable nothing more. Well hell of a cringe-fest in the beginning but it was fun and exciting. But it could’ve been done better. If I would be kind I would give it a weak 6/10
so this exceeded my expectations. when i heard they were doing a live action Pokemon i thought to myself what?! you can’t do that, it just won’t look good but i’ll be damned if they didn’t manage to pull it off. 5/5 great performance from all the actors…and i got goosebumps when i saw and heard mewtwo :)
i love this movie i hope that there will be more movie like that one.

Pikachu talking already ruins the whole thing… I expected it saying just “PIKA PIKA” during the whole time, whould have been more authentic x’D

I’ve always found Pokemon to be dumb and childish, but I actually really enjoyed this. Great concept, and friendly to those who have NO clue about the Poke-universe. Definitely a good watch for you and your kids, if nothing else. 4/5
