When priest Carl Erik Sahlberg first came to Africa, Tanzania, as a missionary in the 1980:ies, he met and married Overa, who at that time studied to become one of the first female priests in Tanzania. They moved to Sweden where Carl Erik worked as a priest in the center of Stockholm in Sankta Klara church. Here he helped many homeless and addicted people to start a new life. After working in the same parish for 24 years, they had already made plans to move back to Overas native country and start an orphanage trying to help some of the children to a better life. This film shows some of their work in Stockholm and also their life and their work with the children i Africa. |
