River Ames (24) is a hearing child of deaf adults, he returns after six years away to his estranged younger deaf siblings, Emmet (18) and Enola (6) after the death of their parents. Arriving at their inherited Beach House Emmet has mixed feelings about River, Enola has never met him. River struggles with getting Emmet to understand why he left, meanwhile Enola decides to free her pet fish in the sea. River and Emmet decide to have a race on the beach with Enola. In competition the brothers fail to notice Enola has fallen, realising their responsibilities for their sister they go back to her and sit with her side by side. Enola looks at the sea. |
