An unrehearsed, non-accusatory poetic romp of self-expression, reflection and observation of the urban human spirit. In this 2-camera, black and white study under the guise of modern Dadaism, performance artist Larry Caveney reads four short, hand-made books of confusing, circuitous, mundane, violent and humorous Dada poetry. Mr. Caveney is a fine artist as well as a professor of the History of Modern Art and Contemporary Art at The Art Institute of California, San Diego. Like the Dada Art Movement, (1916-1923) this film delivers a tilted, bright, useless and rough ride across what has become the social norm. |
