A desperate writer, with a failing imagination, tries to create an original story, but every time he sits down at his computer, he produces a never ending string of tired cliches. He’s stuck, he’s in a rut. Though he writes on a grand scale, he cannot envision the world outside of his apartment or beyond the three people closest to him; his girlfriend, his agent and the executive he must impress. Through a series of fantastical sequences of mediocrity, featuring vampires, pirates and an intergalactic war, the writer and his characters fight tooth and nail to meet the deadline. But in a world of overused and trite plot devices, can they pull it together in time… or even, at all? |
