‘Chester’ is the story of a life long recovery from a terrible car accident, one that left a young man a paraplegic. Teenagers make mistakes, and high school senior Chester Lyssy’s decision to drive home from a local dance tired and a little woozy from a couple of beers would be a choice that would send his life into a tailspin. His rehabilitation, both physically and spiritually, is discussed with Chester himself and immediate relatives. Members of the community, at work and at his church in Austin, Texas echo his vitality and inspiration, a survivor who is a successful businessman, and a man with disabilities who lives independently. |
