Tejano music legend Oscar Martinez is still alive and well, touring with colleagues from the past 50 years, and remaining a vital part of the South Texas music scene. In collaboration with his daughter Iris, Oscar is not only a deejay on a weekly radio show based out of Corpus Christi, but an artist as well, who’s drawings have been featured in galleries and museums, with prints also available during live performances. Young musicians as well as seasoned veterans are well acquainted with Oscar’s musical repertoire, as we witness from a live performance from 2012 of Oscar performing in Austin Texas with Larry Lange and His Lonely Knights.
