Scott, and his best friend/writing partner, Kevin, two struggling screenwriters, can’t seem to catch a break. After a failed meeting with a powerful Hollywood agent, Kevin invites Scott, who’s still reeling over the break-up with his ex-girlfriend, to a Chinese New Year party, hoping to distract themselves for a bit. There, Scott meets a beautiful and mysterious Chinese girl named Lijuan and is immediately smitten. Despite cultural and language barriers, Scott and Lijuan quickly develop a strong relationship that has a positive influence on Scott’s writer’s block. But when Lijuan’s past catches up to her in America, Scott and Kevin find themselves caught in a deadly situation from which only Lijuan can save them. |
