On Ida’s 85th birthday her friend Fran shows up unexpectedly to break the news about their dear friend Arthur’s death. Grappling with their own mortality, they decide to throw a party and live life to the fullest. But things quickly get out of hand when Jim shows up, toting his buddies from the nursing home. Meanwhile, Ida’s overbearing daughter, Sarah, prepares a special birthday dinner for her. When Ida is running late Sarah sends her son Max over to check on her and he gets the surprise of a lifetime. |
