Urban architectures have been transformed their forms influenced by natural environment, the individual inhabitants’ desires and everyday lives within the geographical and physical limitation. The Urban cities have been formed following with function. The structure of chimneys, which provides ventilation for hot flue gases from inside to the outside, symbolizes this. This film attempted to recreate the real world as a fictional or imaginary world by the subjective way of filming and editing. This practice is influenced by Constant Nieuwenhuys’s imaginary architectural project ‘New Babylon’, Situationist International’s psycho-geographical activity ‘Derive’ and ‘Automatic Writing’ in Surrealism. The title of this film comes from Leo Leoni’s pseudo ‘Parallel Botany’, a pictorial book of imaginary plants.
