In 1985, two friends set out to find the greatest lost treasure in U.S. history: tons of gold shipwrecked in 1857 somewhere off the Carolina coast. Using historical data and Bayesian math, the team eventually homed in on one area in the deep Atlantic. Attempting to find the gold proved to be the least complicated part of the adventure. |
