Across from Finn McCool’s explores the legacy of Parke Meek, former Eames designer, prop master, and neighborhood eccentric of Main St., Santa Monica. After his death, the documentary returns to his life’s work, Jadis, a prop shop/antique store that houses over seventy years of Parke’s collections. Full of historical artifacts and bizarre junkyard concoctions, the store bespeaks a unique sensibility and an unforgettable man. |
