Ray and Kid make it to Wichita Falls, Texas. The car’s engine is blown. They hike the rest of the way on foot in the scorching Texas sun. They’re on the run with a bag full of money, being tracked by a old associate of their late father. Ray and Kid jump in to a river pass and buy a small river boat and hide out in an abandoned house. They argue over their inheritance; Kid wants to honor their father’s wishes and open up a family business, while Ray wants to do exactly what he pleases with it. Over night, Kid is fatally shot through the living room window while keeping watch. Ray kills the man that has been tracing them in a gun battle; he takes the money to El Paso and hops a jet to the Cancun Islands of Mexico like his brother wished to open up a Bar and Grill in the family name. |
