Do you know where your food comes from? In ‘Course of Food’, this question is explored by showing the journey your food makes from the farm to the dining room. This up-close documentary follows the path of free-range pigs that are naturally grown by rancher Andy Bowen. Commercially produced foods have gathered increased scrutiny for the methods in which animals are raised and processed. Course of Food re-examines this philosophy with Andy’s ‘going back to basics’ approach. Faced with the trials of independent ranching and the sustainability of small-town America, Andy sets out to produce natural food that tastes great and produces conversations along the way. |
