What can I say? Wonderful, believable performances. The story is dark, then darker, then darkest and the light at the end of the tunnel was not bright enough for me. I feel used and abused by the reality. View at your own risk. 8/10
Thank you for the warning. I felt the same about Eden Lake and Sucker Punch. I barely made it 10 minutes in and had to shut it off.
Too bad you didn’t give sucker punch a little longer. I almost did the same,but really had nothing better to do, so stayed with it. It got right interesting (to me anyway) after a bit,and was certainly different from most movies. Rather liked the end as well, it fit the movie, though not the way I would want it to end if I were the subject in question.
Ugh…like Gypsy said. I can like some dark, but I’ve got other ideas about retribution to please me than this offers. And yes this script surely can leave a woman and hopefully a man too angry at the societal norms portrayed. Can’t complain much about the acting, but I think those less empathic than me will like this more.
Well, another movie I missed in 2017. I would have been right down shocked if the year it was released in 2015! As I said yesterday, what was I doing that I missed a lot of good movies in 2015. I’ll put this one on my list to watch. I like Guy and Dakata and she is known for doing the odd movie/tv shows such as the Alienist.
