Oh my goshâŚThis was awesome. Saw it at the movies and it was worth it on the big screen. Jim Carrey is just awesome as Robotnik. He made this movie what it is!
Agree this movie is made for an actor like Carrey (hate the stasch)

Had mixed feelings going into this movie because of some small cringe moments at the beginning of the movie(which were also in the trailer. That said Iâve been a Sonic-fan since the early 90âs. The movie really picked up after the introductions of the Heroes and Villain. I do hope they focus a bit more on a story that is less childish because as with the story of Sonic Adventure 2(Dreamcast) it is possible to have Sonicâs humor and still have a plot that is not only aimed for 8-year olds.
The ending was good and I was hoping for that too but as a younger friend that also saw the movie said. ââDr Eggman was great but he is suppose to be FAT!ââ haha

Jim Carrey was incredibly unlikable in this. Made me laugh a couple times; but other times he was just totally cringe worthy.
The CGI & Live Action characters didnât mesh well together AT ALL & I never forgot for one second that these characters, when interacting with sonic, were talking to nothing but air.
People say how bad Sonic looked when the first draft of CGI came out. I agree. And I think the released version looksâŚnearly identical. Still terrible.
3/10 stars for me.
