Details:

As the world’s most productive inland fishery in the world, The Tonle Sap, southeast Asia’s largest lake, supplies up to 70% of Cambodia’s protein and is a vital food source for the broader region. Millions of Cambodians depend on this lake not only for food, but for their livelihoods. But this important lake is under threat from deforestation, overfishing and damming in the surrounding areas. Conservation International has stepped in to work with both governments and communities to ensure sustainable development and conserve this important food source for not only the people of Cambodia, but the entire world.
