Dr. Kirby Borkowski is at the height of his career. His invention, the Phase Shift Crosswalk Assistance Matrix, has been nominated for a prestigious award. After winning, his celebration is cut short by the surprise appearance of his mother. In a world where the mother figure is worshiped, Kirby is at odds with society; he hates his mother. When she is invited onto stage to share in his glory, Kirby panics. He trips and inadvertently triggers his colleague’s time machine.
