The story takes us into a near future in which little has changed. The great difference is that “elderly” people don’t show more than thirty years. There are no longer uncurable diseasses and the ageing of the body is blocked thanks to a special elixir that regenerates cells. The human being has overcome the greatest limit: mortality. This invention seems to have created a true earthly paradise. But something unforeseeable is happening. For several decades, mass suicides have been taking place because people’s mind struggle with the gained longevity. In this eternally young world the body doesn’t age, but the mind tends to get tired and refuse the so longed eternity. |
