Details:

Ronald Evans is a pioneer in the field of nuclear hormone receptors. Hereby he made a tremendous contribution to the treatment of breast cancer, prostate cancer and leukemia, as well as osteoporosis and asthma. Additionally, his studies led to the finding of a new hormone that represents one of the most import advances in understanding problems arising from excess weight and obesity and the potential treatment of type II diabetes. In this mini-documentary, Ronald Evans elaborates on his research and tells about his personal connection with science. Evans was awarded an honorary doctorate in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the academic world. The honorary doctorate was awarded by the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, on the occasion of its 400th anniversary.
